This post has been long overdue, but a few months back, I finished knitting myself this sweater which is from an original vintage pattern from the 1930's. It certainly didn't take 3 hours to knit, but I think it's pretty darned cute and was worth all the headaches I endured.
I haven't been in a knitting mood lately because I have had awful morning sickness... which really should be called all day sickness instead! It's been over 8 weeks so far and still counting. Once I'm past this terrible phase, I hope to get back to the needles and finish a much overdue Christmas present that I started but never finished, for my sister-in-law.
I still need to sew on a small button to the front, so technically it isn't 100% done yet.

You poor thing, I agree about "all day" sickness! I was so sick in my first pregnancy, I couldn't keep water down so they had to give me a prescription for pills to help with the nausea. This time around, I drank mint tea all the time and it really helped! I've also done ginger tea which tastes kind of yucky but works and eating pickled ginger (used for sushi) actually worked for me too- if you like pickled ginger, that is! :) I hope the all day sickness passes soon!!
Britanny,
I was just given a prescription for nausea too, but I haven't filled it yet. I am almost 15 weeks preggers
and it hasn't gone away yet. It's torture!
Thanks for the tip on the mint tea. It actually sounds pretty yummy and I'd like to try it. I drank ginger tea, which helped a little during my last pregnancy, but this time around, it doesn't seem to help at all. Plus, the taste just grosses me out now!
I LOVE sushi and pickled ginger. Just had it for lunch the other day, as a matter of fact. Shhh, don't tell my O.B. =p
I take it you didn't get sick this time around? You lucky girl!
